Randle Fire district 14 serves the local community. Fire suppression and emergency medical services [EMS] lead by Chief Jeff Jaques. The many volunteers that serve our community do so as a public service. They are often unknown heroes. When emergencies strike they move to action. Responding to medical emergencies, car wrecks, forest & structure fires. They respond to many dangerous situations at all hours of the day and night. When you call 911, they call an unpaid volunteer. These folks train every Tuesday night at the fire station. Volunteers are always needed. Apply to become a part of a great group of people at the web site listed below. Free First Aid & Emergency Medical education. You can stop by and talk to chief Jeff Jaques week days. The station is located on HWY 12, one half mile east of Randle. In November 2006 flood waters threatened the station. The quick actions of the chief and volunteer staff saved thousands of dollars of losses. At the same time aid was being given to others in our community by these same people. Lewis County Fire Commissioners gave the chief an award for the actions of the team during this emergency.
